A day-sleeping friend of mine had trouble sleeping after sunrise. She is also a big Calvin & Hobbes fan. (It's the only one of it's kind, Mr. Watterson; please don't sue me!) The blindfold is lined with an artificial fleece for non-allergenic comfort, with small depressions trimmed in the fleece to eliminate pressure on the eyeballs. The strap is a simple band of elastic.

A vambrace is a wrist guard for warriors. These vambraces are done in the Klingon style, from a pattern created by Paula Crist. Going back to an old Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) joke, one vambrace is lettered in Klingon with "Shield;" the other says "Sword." Like much of my work, they were a gift to a friend.
A birthday gift for Lady (now Dame) Selene Colfox, this photo album has her SCA "device" at the center, and her husband's device at three corners. My own device is in one corner.
The album is lined with golden suede, with laced edges, and is taken from a pattern by Tandy Leather. The three ring binder mechanism was also purchased from Tandy.
This tissue box cover was an adaptation of a pattern in Leather Crafter's and Saddler's Journal, and was made as a Christmas present. The leather is undyed, although high-lighter has been applied to make the carvings more visible. The corners were intended to be laced with plastic glow in the dark lace, but I couldn't find mine in a timely manner. The uneveness in color is an artifact from the image-processing I did to make this picture more viewable.

Calvin and Hobbes are registered properties of Mr. Watterson, and all rights remain vested in him. No violation of Mr. Watterson's copyright, trademark, or licensing is intended.
